This photo was taken at the Railroad Restoration Site in Boulder, Co. We were told of a negative spirit that inhabits one or more of the cars. To get a feel for the location, we did a preliminary investigation and took some shots of various areas. I found this picture when going through the photos later that night. I was very shocked and my interest was peaked. We went back the following day and went inside this railroad car. The object is not a mysterious foot. It's a piece of carpet stuck on a nail from the inside. It has been in it's place so long it has started to petrify. I thought I would through it in just to show the difference of real phenomenon and what, with a little investigation, could be resolved.

I wanted to add these photos to our pages to show that not all is as it is perceived. When I first looked at this photo I thought there may be some sort of mist. During this outing there were only 2 of us present. Doc and myself. The rule of thumb is when it is cold, ‘hold your breath and count to 10. Then take the photo'. Since this photo was taken by me and I know I followed the protocol, also making a mental note that Doc was a distance away. I was sure I had something. Then I noticed that when I lightened the photo, there was more mist than I could account for. We were fortunate to have had a few days of cold weather, so I decided to try a test. I had another person (Doc was not available) stand about 10 feet away from me and start to exhale just a few seconds before the camera took a photo. What I got was the very same type of 'mist' I thought I had originally captured in the first photo. Even though I couldn't locate the original box car, I was able to recreate, as best possible, theconditions using a similar box car at the same location. This proved to me that it was totally possible, that even though I held my breath, someone else up to 10 feet away can affect a photo. So, even though you may feel like you have something, please take the time to make sure you really do.

Side note: even though the 'mist' shows up in the photo analysis manipulation in the first 4 frames, the 5th frame ( depolarization process) shows there really is not any substance strong enough to show up on a 2 level depolraization process. Anyting with solid substance will. We have other photos taken with substance appearing in the depolarized process after manipulation. We concider that a strong enough substance to be concidered 'paranormal'.
