ITC is the use of magnetic media, TV/radios, computers, telephones, and other similar devices to record apparent communication from the afterlife in voice, images, and text. It is a more active, multi-media, interactive approach than simple EVP. Where pages deal with one type more than the other, that link will be placed, though indexed, under the specific medium used for research.
Instrumental Transcommunication is a more discernible way of communicating with other levels of existence. It is said to be a way which accompanies our technological age. It is not because ITC has a strong technical component that makes it more beneficial, but because it allows an elemental proof, in an elemental world, of the fact of the Afterlife.
ITC also works without mediumship. It is much less subjective in its interpretation than mediumship. The distinct communications and events brought through mediums across the ages have ineffectively convince mankind that there is a sense in life, that all life is spiritual in its essence and that life never ends, thus being a natural law.

Mark Macy
Mark Macy is involved full-time in spirit communication through technology. With colleagues from eight countries, in 1995 Macy founded a network of scientists and researchers devoted to building a reliable bridge with Beyond. Results of their research include images of spirit beings coming through televisions, computers, and photographic film; transdimensional dialogs via radio and telephone; and actual text files planted on computer hard drives by invisible hands, all providing a view of the next world unprecedented in its clarity and depth.
Macy has a lab in his home near Boulder, Colorado, where he conducts experiments almost daily and hosts regular meetings of his local research team. He has configured his equipment to a large degree on the advice of spirit colleagues, as specified during phone dialogs and radio contacts. Currently he is receiving color images of departed loved ones and colleagues through the use of advanced subtle energy technologies.
Since 1992 Macy has learned that the key to spirit communication through technology is not the technology, but rather a resonance achieved among beings of like-mind on both sides of the veil. He was told in 1994, via radio: "It can only work when the vibrations of those present are in complete harmony and when their aims and intentions are pure."

and Transdimension) and two books (Conversations Beyond the Light, and Breakthroughs

George W. Meek was a retired industrialist who had revolutionized the air-conditioning industry and had made a small fortune on a series of patents. With a commanding presence at six-foot-three, he possessed a powerful intentionality that was apparent whether watching him march straight to the podium for a speech or whether observing him quickly chunk down a complex research project into tasks that he could delegate to his staff. Like all men of good character, George had learned to still that little inner voice that advocates bad choices from day to day, until the voice had become weak and ineffective. He had learned to make the right choices again and again until they had become habit. Over the years his intentionality had shaped a comfortable and pleasant lifestyle for his family. It had also spurred the creation of the Metascience Foundation, Meek's highly regarded, nonprofit enterprise to analyze the human spirit from a scientific angle.
As he had planned for many years, George retired on his sixtieth birthday to fulfill a life-long dream. He began traveling the world with his wife Jeannette to explore the deepest and richest spiritual truths hidden along the backroads of the Twentieth Century world.

Something inside him was driving him to get to the bottom of life's mysteries. He organized and funded research teams of medical doctors and scientists to travel to the forests of Southeast Asia , to crowded hospitals in China , and elsewhere in the world to observe such phenomena as energy healing and the use of acupuncture as a sole painkiller during major surgery.

This is one of the pictures George brought back from his many trips to observe spiritual healing and other phenomena around the world. Here, George captured on film a red-orange blast of healing energy released from the fingers of healer Josefina Sisson, who was living among the rice fields in the Philippines . The patient had come from the outback of Australia to be healed by Ms Sisson. George's five-man team of specialists observed the healing, and although they didn't see any such blast of healing light during the session, it was captured in the emulsion of the photographic film in George's camera.
George was intrigued by the life energies that bristled and surged below the surface of our physical world, beyond the range of our five physical senses… and for the most part beyond the range of our scientific and technical instruments.

George knew that these invisible energies played a major part in our lives and in our world, but most people didn't even know they existed. Even science didn't acknowledge their existence, and that made George uncomfortable. He committed himself to proving the existence of life energies—of spiritual reality—to a skeptical world. Over the years he collected many pictures such as the one at the left, taken at a Christmas party in Connecticut attended by many mediumistic people so that the air was charged by psychic energy fields.
The Meeks moved to Franklin , North Carolina , from Fort Myers , Florida , in the 1980s. George purchased a large tract of land on the side of a forested hill and developed it into a small housing subdivision. He dreamed that the research of his Metascience Foundation would burgeon in the coming years, and the cozy neighborhood would become a thriving community inhabited by his staff of scientists, spiritual adepts, engineers and researchers, all collaborating to uncover the mysteries of the human spirit.
George and Jeannette continued their world travels together, and whenever they returned home from those trips, George would spend a lot of time in his lab doing experiments, for example capturing on film spiritual energies emanating from his physical body, or observing how his emotions could affect the growth of plants. The results of his plant experiments were especially fascinating. Plants which he lavished with love would flourish. Other plants were not so lucky. Early in their growth cycle he would threaten them with angry shouts while holding a hissing blowtorch menacingly in the air above his head. Those plants would grow weak and small.

George had a large custom made 18A ratten light filter which would fit over the fluorescent light fixture in the ceiling, so when the incandescent lights were turned off and the filtered fluorescent lighting was turned on, light between 400 and 700 nanometers in bandwidth could not enter the lab. Since that light is the range of human vision, the room appeared dark to anyone standing in it. For one series of experiments, George mounted a 35mm Minolta camera on a tripod. The camera had an attached film magazine loaded with a large roll of 400 ASA Fuji color print film. The camera took 100 pictures in rapid succession while George sat in the chair in the "dark."

During one sitting, all the frames came out dark except the one at the left, in which the camera captured a spontaneous out-of-body experience (OBE). George's astral body had left his physical body and could be seen attached to him by the etheric cord. If you look closely, you can see that George's body is partially transparent as the result of the special lighting and the projection of his energy body.
During another sitting, again, all frames came out dark except one, in which George's astral body was again captured on film, this time in a more spectacular fashion, again with the silver cord attaching the two bodies. George's physical body was almost completely transparent. In the two pictures below, the first shows a normal print made from the original negative. For the second print, less light was used to expose the photographic paper, so you can see the astral body in more detail, and the physical body almost disappears completely.

Meek spent many hours in his large basement office piecing together roadmaps of the spirit worlds from the vast knowledge he had gained from his research. He had discovered that the actual locations of Heaven and Hell were not somewhere out there in distant space nor hidden away deep inside the Earth, but right here, all around us. He knew that mystics over the centuries have had an intimate knowledge of the fact that many universes interpenetrate our own physical universe, but they didn't know how to explain it to the world; humanity until now had always lacked the technological background to understand how this interpenetration worked. Mystics would say simply that the path to God and higher spirit lies within, which makes no sense to most people, who would argue that the path within leads only to organs and tissues, blood and bones. Now George could employ our understanding of radio technologies and electromagnetic energies to explain the true location of the spirit worlds in a way that human beings alive today could easily understand.
I met George Meek in 1991 and had this discussion with him in his living room in Franklin .
"Now, you know this room is filled with radio signals, right?" George quizzed me.
"Of course," I muttered. Just about everyone was aware nowadays that wherever you went in the world, hundreds of radio stations in the region were constantly broadcasting hundreds of radio signals through large transmitting antennas, and the signals in the form of vibrating energy were filling the air, getting all jumbled together, and passing through houses, trees, and other solid structures.
"And you know that each signal remains distinct by its frequency. That's why this radio can tune separately to each signal," he added, pointing to the clock radio on the table beside him.
"That's right."
"Well, all the spiritual universes—and there are hundreds of them—they're all sharing this space with our physical universe, like radio signals sharing this room."
I nodded silently, not wishing to interrupt.
In a similar way, he explained, all the universes are "broadcast" by a central source which religions typically call "God" or "Allah" or "Yahweh" or "Brahman." These universes are all jumbled together in the same space as they are sent out by God, yet each universe remains distinct by its frequency or rate of vibration. The frequencies of the spirit worlds are much finer than the energies we are familiar with here on Earth, such as electricity, radio signals, and light. Most of these spirit-world energies are imperceptible not only by our physical senses, but also by modern scientific equipment.

"Hence Jesus's passage in the Bible, ‘My Father's house has many mansions,'" George continued. "I learned about these interpenetrating worlds about thirty years ago. My first thought was, if we can use a radio to tune into each radio signal, maybe we could find a device that would let us tune into the spirit worlds and talk to their inhabitants." That thinking led to Meek's best-known invention.
In 1979, he and his colleague Bill O'Neil developed the Spiricom device, a set of 13 tone generators spanning the range of the adult male voice. O'Neil was psychically gifted, and he collaborated with his spirit friends while developing the large radio-like apparatus, which gave off a droning buzz that filled the room. When O'Neil spoke in its presence, you could hear his voice getting wrapped up in the buzzing noises of the Spiricom machine. He worked on the machine for months, and then a most amazing thing happened. Another voice began to get wrapped up in the radio sounds too—a voice belonging to someone who was present in the room, but invisible. The voice of a spirit.
The spirit collaborator soon identified himself as Dr George Jeffries Mueller, a NASA scientist who had died in 1967 and had now come close to the vibration of the Earth to assist Meek and O'Neil in opening a communication bridge between the two worlds. O'Neil and Mueller went on to record more than 20 hours of dialog between 1979 and 1982.
In one dialog, Doc Mueller was giving O'Neil technical advice on how to improve the Spiricom equipment: "William, I think the problem is an impedance mismatch into that third transistor."
O'Neil replied slowly, as though studying the circuitry. "Third transistor."
"Yes, the transistor that follows the input."
"I don't understand," replied O'Neil.
"The pre-amp, the pre-amp!" Doc Mueller stated emphatically.
"Oh, the pre-amp."
"Yes, I think that can be corrected by introducing a one-hundred-fifty-ohm, half-watt resistor in parallel with a point-double-oh-four-seven microfarad ceramic capacitor. I think we can overcome that impedance mismatch."
Obviously baffled, O'Neil lamented, "Oh boy, I'll have to get the schematics."

In the winter of 1988 George Meek and physicist Ernst Senkowski of Germany, both in their seventies, traveled to Luxembourg to visit the miracles being reported from the home of Maggy and Jules Harsch-Fischbach, who claimed to be enjoying long, clear dialogs with spirit friends through their radios. As the two elderly researchers entered the small flat, the couple told them they would be using a TV for experiments for the first time, and it would be an old TV that once had belonged to Jules's grandfather, even though it had been sitting on a shelf in the closet for years, collecting dust.
The spirit team had suggested they use that TV and a video camera during Meek's visit. Jules and Maggy at first had been incredulous. The TV had no antenna and didn't function at all. The couple didn't own a video camera, couldn't afford to buy one, and wouldn't know how to use it anyway. Still, Timestream had told them to acquire a video camera, so they had borrowed money from the bank and bought one the day before the two researchers arrived.
Under the circumstances, by all rational thought, the couple should have been skeptical about getting any results with their visitors present that day, but they were accustomed to the miracles which their spirit friends were able to accomplish. They had come to realize that almost anything is possible if you keep your mind and heart open, have faith, and tap into the finer spiritual forces.
The TV was plugged into the wall current, and when Jules turned it on, it worked. A screen full of "snow," or static, appeared. The video camera was pointed at the TV. Moments after it was turned on, a three-second sequence of images flashed by on the screen: Mountains, a forest, a building, and most impressive, a couple walking hip-deep out into a lake or ocean—holding hands, then releasing hands, then joining hands again. A high-pitched voice, which Maggy said was the voice of an ethereal being, broke through the TV static to announce the end of this successful experiment—the transmission of pictures "live" from the astral realm.
The exciting events of that day led to a close friendship between George Meek and the Harsch-Fischbach couple.
Jeannette Meek died in the spring of 1990, and George soon received a letter from her, via computer, which she had sent from her new home in the spirit worlds. The letter was sent to our world by the Timestream spirit group, a collaboration of hundreds of dedicated people in spirit working hard to open communication channels with the Earth, and they delivered it through the Harsch-Fischbach computer in Luxembourg while George was home in North Carolina . Jeannette told George she missed him and awaited his arrival in the coming years, but emphasized that there was no hurry. Life there was absolutely beautiful, and she had much to keep her busy. It seemed that she had just arrived, and she was already acting as a guardian angel of kindness for victims of war—men, women and children who were coming across the veil in terror from the Persian Gulf Crisis. Jeannette's job was to calm them and get them settled into their new lives. This was not just channeled information; it was the result of objective reports from a woman who had died, then found a way to deliver clear, unfiltered messages to her husband through a computer on Earth.
Within a year, Timestream sent a picture of Jeannette in the higher or subtler reaches of the astral realm. She was posing in a stunning landscape, along with their daughter Nancy Carol, who had died at the age of two weeks and was reunited with Jeannette shortly after Jeannette's death. Also in the picture was the film producer Hal Roach.

George himself died in the winter of 1999, after circling the globe many times, acquiring undeniable proof of afterlife, and writing two pioneering books that opened up new markets and blazed the way for a new breed of writers on spiritual matters. George Meek's two break-out books were Healers and the Healing Process , published in the 1970s, and After We Die, What Then? , published in the 1980s.

THE VERY REAL DANGERS
(of Operating SPIRICOM-type equipment)
1. Dangers which could be encountered by individual researchers
Under no circumstances do we want to encourage any enthusiastic reader or potential researcher to start out in this field without the information in the next few paragraphs.
As was pointed out earlier, science now knows that everything in the cosmos is one or more forms of energy in motion. Some energy is beneficial to Man and some is harmful. X-rays for example, in small and carefully controlled amounts, can be of great help to Man, but in too great a concentration can destroy tissue, entire organs and even the whole body. Ultra-violet light is highly beneficial to Man and plants, but certain wavelengths of UV can kill not only bacteria, but also plants and even people. (In 1978 in our laboratory in Ft. Myers , Florida , we were experimenting photographically with different wavelengths of UV light. After an exposure of only a few minutes at one of the wavelengths we were using, all of our lovely 3-year-old ivy plants and philodendron were killed and the green leaves became as black as carbon.)
On the 11" x 17" diagram, "In Our Father's House There are Many Mansions," please note near the left margin the vertical arrow which reads, "MATTER (Energy) at progressively HIGHER rates of vibrations or frequencies." In this diagram the energies which make up the minerals and water of the earth are at the bottom, (the lowest vibrational level). Man and all other living creatures and life forms on the surface of the earth are composed of bodies which contain essentially the same minerals and water, but in addition , they have consciousness which represents a higher rate of vibration.
The lowest astral planes shown in the above-mentioned diagram contain persons who have shed their mineral and water bodies and exist as their individual consciousness. Hence they are not suddenly allwise. They know absolutely nothing of the "worlds" that exist above them. They, for the most part, are truly "lost" and many do not even know that they are dead! Many of them are desperate to get back into their old physical body . Some of the poor souls are filled with the strongest of physical lusts and desires for alcohol or other drugs. They may make a serious effort to continue their indulgence by finding some person whose energy field is enough like theirs that they can be merged. This is the basis for obsession.
Although present-day psychiatry does not yet recognize it, we feel reasonably certain that at least 25% of the patients in our mental asylums are, in part , the victims of such unwanted intrusion into their individual consciousness by entities on the lowest astral planes.
[We do not condemn psychiatry for this lack of understanding. It is only in the last few years that Man has gained the understanding that the mind is non-physical, that it is, in fact, an energy field, and that it can, and in some cases does, occupy a body other than that for which it was intended. Fortunately there is now a newly formed branch of the psychiatric field know as Meta psychiatry Page 83 which is increasingly making use of the latest scientific findings in this area. And it is gratifying that in 1980 the American Psychiatric Association added "multiple personality" to its diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders!]
When any person starts to build equipment designed to "talk to the spirits" it behooves him to carefully bypass all the persons now very much alive in the lowest astral planes. (Incidentally, this area is also populated with some rather frightening forms of life which do not belong to the human line of evolution.)
In fact, it is not enough to just tune out the lowest astral planes. There is another hazard to be encountered a little higher up. There is a layer of spirits who are not really intending to be harmful and they are not likely to lock into your aura. But they are out to have some fun -- they are more like pranksters. Should you contact them, they may pretend to be someone they are not. They may, as we say, "take you for a ride." They may appear much more knowledgable than they are.
It is because of these "communication hazards" that mediumship got such a bad name 2,000 years ago. At the time of the events in the New Testament, mediumship was very common. Its dangers were also well known, because it was a rare medium indeed who could tap the wisdom of the highest astral planes. Anyone who could tap that of the mental-causal or the celestial planes went down in history as a prophet, sage or seer! The writers of the New Testament cautioned their small flocks to "Beware" and to "Test" all spirits with whom contact was made, to make certain that the communicators were good, friendly, God-fearing spirits.
How does an EVP or SPIRICOM researcher make certain that he does not attract a cloud of undesirable spirit persons? There are two precautions:
First , never work in this field unless you are in excellent physical health , free of serious mental or emotional stresses and strains, and have an optimistic and joyful attitude about your life and toward all with whom you come in contact . If you cannot honestly say that you fit this physical, mental and emotional profile -- then find some other outlet for your inquiring mind!
The second point requires a bit of background. You daily use your radio and/or TV. When you want to switch from one station to another, you turn a channel or station control knob. By so doing you turn from one wavelength or frequency to another -- either higher or lower. A SPIRICOM set operates the same way. But the
"good" SPIRICOM programs come in only on the higher wavelengths or frequencies. Hence you should try to use a set which will get up beyond the stations which have only the "bad" programs.
Unfortunately this is easier said than done. Most of the EVP research has been done in kilo hertz wavelengths. It is the consensus of the researcher at Metascience Foundation that you will Page 84 never reach the desired intelligence levels at these wavelengths. Even at a far higher level -- 29.5 Megahertz - - we have on occasion, tuned in to some very uncouth characters using language which was not fit for print.
In general we feel that, in the years ahead, researchers should constantly strive to establish systems which will reach ever higher frequencies. Our projections for Mark VI and Mark VII show how seriously we ourselves take this bit of advice.
If you as a researcher have followed the above precautions, you may very well reach individuals who are highly evolved in the best spiritual sense. They are interested -- deeply and solely -- in helping Man on earth to grow up out of the quagmire of hate, jealousy, murder and materialism which he has fashioned for himself. If you want to narrow the gap from where you individually stand in your own spiritual development, and the level of spiritual growth which your prospective communicators possess, you will find it helpful to include one or two short periods of meditation and prayer in your daily schedule.

Does this prescription work? Yes, speaking from the personal experiences of our associates during the past ten years. Are the dangers real? Yes. Among the researchers in this field who failed to follow the above warnings are at least one known suicide and two cases of possession. Either suicide or possession is a high price to pay for disregarding admonitions that have their basis in 2,000 years of history.*
2. Dangers which Mankind faces if SPIRICOM is not used wisely
Since his beginnings, Man has been faced with the fact that individually and collectively he has the power to act for good or evil. As his knowledge of the energetic nature of the cosmos has expanded, Man has found that every energy so far identified -- from sexual energy to atomic energy -- can be used for his benefit or for his downfall . He will find that the energies involved in SPIRICOM are also of a nature that can be used to help him grow mentally and spiritually and become more God-like (that is more like the beings on the higher planes) or they can be focused on trivia which will make it even harder for him to grow out of the present deplorable mess in which Western civilization's social, economic and political actions are tending toward disintegration.

* For the spiritually oriented, we report some advice given by high level spirit communicators: If SPIRICOM researchers adhere to the following procedure they will not suffer possession by negative forces. First thing in the morning say, "I will wear the protective cloak of the Christ light until I retire tonight." On retiring make a similar decree for the night hours. (Note: The Christ light is said to have overshadowed and inspired Jesus of Nazareth continually during the last three years of his earth life.)

When SPIRICOM instrumentation is further perfected, it will in the very nature of product development, be more simplified and available at lower and lower cost. (Already we discern the possibility of making equipment to do the work of Mark IV, for example, in the form of a relatively inexpensive, compact, hand-held instrument.) Will such equipment be used to the maximum benefit of people -- both here and in the hereafter?
To the extent that it will reduce the sense of loss and grief at the passing of a loved one, it will be of great value. To the extent that it helps people learn that what we have called "death" is in fact, "birth" into another and potentially more glorious life, it will also be a great blessing. To the extent that it is used for the purpose of convincing a large portion of the 4,000,000,000 persons now on earth that they should live this life in ways that will assure the best conditions for their next life, it could be tremendous factor in the upward evolution of Man .
But, sad to say, there is another side to the coin if contact is with only the lower planes. Consider these two omens of why widespread use of SPIRICOM may not suddenly make Man into a new and noble creature.
First consider the parallel to what has happened in the last 100 years in the case of those persons who became deeply interested in all forms of psychic phenomena and concentrated in groups to develop their members into good mediums. The mediums brought through many messages which gave seeming evidence of survival. Such messages brought great comfort to many of the sitters. A few of the messages conveyed great spiritual truths and tried to show the wisdom of inculcating such truths into the daily lives of the sitters. A new religion called Spiritualism took roots in England , the USA and many other countries. A variant called Spiritism took roots and grew in France , Brazil and other countries. There were many who thought that this new religion would sweep the world. It has not done so. Why?
The answer has been provided during the last few years from Spiritualists now living on the higher planes. From their higher perspective (and speaking through the remarkable direct-voice mediumship of Leslie Flint) Sir William Crookes, Sir Oliver Lodge, Sir William Barrett, Emma Harding Britten, Ellen Terry and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle have said time and again, with great sadness, "Spiritualism has lost its spirituality ! It has concerned itself with trivia ."
They refer to the fact that Spiritualism (unlike Spiritism in Brazil ) still concentrates on platform clairvoyance and mediumship which is in contact with only the lower astral planes. The messages brought through are primarily of a personal greeting type and very seldom contain any spiritually-oriented teachings from the
higher levels of wisdom.
If SPIRICOM is used in the decades ahead primarily to contact loved ones who have recently passed to the lower planes, it will have fallen into the same trap of being concerned only with trivia. Those living on the lower planes are basically no more evolved and enlightened than they were when they passed over. In the main, they did not produce a viable civilization when they were running the show here on the surface of the earth!

Only if Man is inventive enough to perfect forms of SPIRICOM which can communicate with the higher planes, can he tap the desired level of wisdom and spiritual enlightenment. And only if he then has the wisdom to use the devices for tapping that wisdom and enlightenment can he create heaven on earth. Will SPIRICOM users concern themselves only with trivia, or with the wisdom that could lead Man into the long-promised "golden age"?
And now let us look at the second reason why we should not expect that SPIRICOM will necessarily achieve the goal of making Man into a new and better creature. Let us take a strictly objective view of what has happened to the rosy-hued dreams of the miracles predicted to follow perfection of TV, motion pictures and radio broadcasting.
The following clipping was saved about 1975 from an electronics magazine (author unknown) because of its pertinence to the situation that would exist when someday we, or others, succeeded in developing SPIRICOM.
We should recognize that new technology readily evokes rosy expectations. Possible blessings are more easily glimpsed than problems, and are more gratifying to contemplate. As we have seen, visions of the wired world have been with us ever since the invention of the telephone. As early as 1882, an artist pictured a woman shopping via television, and another taking a course via television. In the early 1900s, the motion picture was expected to have many of the same effects predicted for telecommunications-wide dispersal of knowledge, equalization of opportunity, strengthening of democracy and of international understanding. Broadcasting, at the very hour of its birth, was expected to have similar effects. The first issue of Radio Broadcast , launched early in 1922, predicted that broadcasting would ...

That same year a former Secretary of the Navy, Josephus Daniels, joined in the sanguine predictions: "Nobody now fears that a Japanese Beet could deal an unexpected blow on our Pacific possessions ... Radio makes surprises impossible." Magazine articles of the day featured such titles as "How Radio is Remaking the WorId" and "Radio, the modern Peace Dove" and "Ether Waves vs. Crime Waves."
Can anyone deny that Man has failed to reap all of the early expectations for these remarkable technical developments? Can he deny that the increasing flood of pornographic movies and video cassettes may add to the rapid destruction of family life which has been the backbone of our civilization? Can he deny that there is any relationship between our spiraling crime rate and the exposure of our children to 15 years of murder, rape and other crime on our TV and movie screens?
Will Man similarly pervert the use of SPIRICOM? Any serious student of human is compelled to answer "yes."
However, there is one factor present in 1982 that did not exist while the commercialization of radio, movies and TV was occurring. Our communicators from the higher realms of Spirit have the ability to look in a dispassioned way at miniscule Man in his many senseless pursuit on the surface of the earth. They Page 87 have the wisdom which comes from their knowledge of the workings of the cosmos. They look at this small planet and are able to forsee the catastrophe which is soon to engulf our present civilization. Their precognitive statements are now coming into print in many nations. They predict that Man has passed the point-of-no-return and that our economy, our life styles, our political systems and our belief systems will undergo changes far beyond the scope which most persons can conceive.
In the Summer 1979 the Metascience Foundation publication COLLAPSE & COMEBACK presented Riley Hansard Crabb's highly informative study of the zodiacal and planetary cycles. One of Mr. Crabb's most useful diagrams is reproduced herewith. Notice the pivotal time in which we are living.
The far-reaching implications of the cosmic forces depicted in Crabb's diagram evoke serious questions in our minds -- as do the predictions from higher planes regarding impending cataclysmic chanqes:
Could it be that God, the powers above, the good guys upstairs, people on plane 6 and 7 of the "Many Mansions" chart -- whoever runs the show -- have for 70 years intentionally slowed and frustrated efforts of brilliant inventors such as Marconi, Tesla and Edison to create a SPIRICOM?
Could it be that in their infinite wisdom the higher beings decided to prevent the negative uses of SPIRICOM by not allowing its perfection until Man is so desperate, so frustrated, so cast down, that he will use it constructively to reach up to the higher planes, join forces with the God each of us carries within, and together build a new heaven and new earth?
Yes, SPIRICOM obviously has dangers for materialistic Man. But it may also be the greatest single force for helping to erect the new heaven and to people the new earth which will follow the the cataclysmic changes which we will all be aparty to in this present decade -- and which will even begin to hit us hard in 1982 and 1983.

The MEZA 1 is a cylindrical container housing seven radios (without antenna) arranged stepwise, and each connected to a loudspeaker fixed to the outer wall. The exact dimensions of the cylinder had been transmitted by Swejen Salter on November 15, 1988 . Cylinder height: 0,77 m and diameter: 0,49 m (excerpt from CETL INFOnews 01/92). |

MEZA 1 has been built by several groups in order to enable contacts with groups beyond. Since 1991 the equipment had been in the private research center "Centre de Recherches" of CETL in Luxemburg. There we were also shown how a contact field can be generated through coherent thinking of the experimenters so as to enable receipt of contacts via computer, telephone and MEZA. By the end of 1992, the research center was closed for cost reasons.

T.D.C.
For those of you that are not aware, the experimental group have been conducting regular (twice-weekly) experiments using electronic equipment, to try to open communication 'links' with other dimensions of existence. This has been named 'Trans Dimensional Communication' or T.D.C. for short. The results of nearly 300 hours of research are truly amazing.
After a great deal of thought, all of us feel that we now have sufficient data to share with you all. Sufficient data that also contains interesting information about how these communications have been made possible. This information will also be used as a basis for future presentations to the public along with some video evidence.
We have now, over the past months, received many of these communications, everyone of them different in some way from the next, some have been quite clear and some very faint. This variation in the clarity of these receptions is of course not surprising when you consider everything, but what the most important question of all, is where are these communications coming from?
First instructions.
We first realised things were taking a different direction, when we received a communication (through a trance channel) that purported to be a personality that was not familiar with our physical environment. This we thought as unusual, as most spirit communicators are normally quite at home when they speak to us. This particular 'being' seemed to have difficulty understanding what we all take for granted, i.e. time, light (as we know it) colours, even our physiology confused him. I use the word 'him' loosely, as gender was uncertain. What we found particularly interesting was what he told us about other dimensions of existence and how these 'far off' dimensions (metaphorically), would be attempting to communicate with us in this world. We received, as he told us, several more interesting dialogues with personalities from these 'other' dimensions, all through the altered state of consciousness or 'trance' .
Then followed a number of sessions, where instructions were given to us to put together several pieces of electrical equipment. They explained that this equipment would hopefully enable communications beyond the normally accepted parameters, to take place. Communications that they believed, had never been attempted before. They would be from other areas or dimensions of life, some of a much higher kind, but not necessarily from the after life. These communications would also form 'trans - dimensional links' between other dimensions and these would enable 'chains' to be formed, which, they explained, would remain in situ for other communicators to use.
The S.P.R.
One of these early instructional sessions was in November 1996 and we were pleased to have as our guests, three prominent gentlemen, Montague Keen, Arthur Ellison (Emeritus Professor of Electrical Engineering) and David Fontana (Professor of Psychology). These gentlemen are members of the Society for Psychical Research, (Prof. Fontana being the current president). They came as individual researchers. It was also very fortunate that we had one of the most eminent electrical engineers present, in the light of what transpired.
It was during that session that an anonymous scientist (a spirit personality, communicating through the altered state) described in detail, a device that was to be constructed. This device would incorporate a piece of Germanium that was to be put under a small amount of pressure. Germanium is a rare metallic element, the Oxford English Dictionary describes it as 'of greyish-white colour found in some minerals and flue dusts from burning certain coals'. The technical requirements and details regarding construction were discussed with Prof. Ellison, who seemed very pleased to be involved in setting up these experiments and excited at the possibilities.
The spirit scientist also explained that some form of amplification would I be necessary, but expressed concern regarding our high mains voltage (250v). This was easily overcome with the help of Prof. Ellison offering to supply a battery-powered amplifier, with a high impedance input (one of the specified requirements). This amplifier was necessary to increase the audibility of the communications and was to be connected directly to the germanium device (the receptor).
Reception not by electronics.
One very important point was made clear to us, that the technology involved in these communications has no parallel in our world and therefore what we are describing here has no basis or 'model' in modern physics. This point was made during the conversation between Prof. Ellison and the spirit scientist, when the scientist made reference to a 'cohera'. Professor Ellison told us that a 'cohera' was something used in conjunction with radio or electromagnetic waves. As these 'waves' pass through the 'cohera', he explained, the bits stick together and conduct. The spirit scientist immediately added that electromagnetic waves (which include radio waves) are not involved in the reception of these communications. He told us all, not to fall into that trap as they are purely spiritual vibrations or waves that will be using the germanium as a point of entry or focus.
This point, I think is worth emphasising, as it is so easy to think of these communications as forms of radio transmissions, which they are definitely not. Radio signals are received using a radio receiver, which is tuned to a particular frequency, or wavelength. The only electronic equipment used in this type of experiment, is the amplifier, this being coupled directly to the germanium receptor. As Professor Ellison explained to us, the germanium receptor as it is, could in no way operate as a receiver of radio signals. Of course, I am not saying that spirit voices or communications cannot be received on radio receivers, they can, but this is by a different means, but more of that later.
The scientist went on to explain some of the fascinating aspects of the proposed 'links' with these distant dimensions. He said that some of the communicators could only speak to us through the germanium receptor, as this provided them with a clearer channel than other known methods. It also helped them to be understood as some form of translation took place through this process, an essential requirement as some of these personalities are not familiar with language.
Construction of receptor.
During the weeks that followed, and with the help of Prof. Ellison, the germanium receptor was constructed. The actual size of the finished device is quite small, about 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches (63 x 32mm.), and has a short length of cable to connect it to the input of the amplifier.(See schematic diagram fig. l). The amplifier has a tape recorder built into it, which enables recordings to be made directly from the source (the germanium), as there is no microphone connected to this equipment. The result, is a recording of the communication only, not the voices of those present during the experiment. The whole session is of course recorded, on a separate tape recorder, giving us valuable information to correlate with the T.D.C.
The first attempts.
We all, including our friends from the S.P.R., all remember quite vividly those first sounds that we heard coming from the loudspeaker, during those early experiments. Noises resembling waves braking on the shore, rushing noises like a gale force wind and others like a steam train pulling out of a station. Professor Ellison explained that this was in fact something termed 'white noise', which can sometimes be heard between stations on a radio. On occasions, faint voices could be heard in the background, but it was impossible to understand what was being said. We had several sessions when this 'white noise' was heard, Sometimes very faint music was present in the background, which was very encouraging for everyone, but nobody was prepared for what was about to happen!
KODACHROME film.
It was at one of the regular sessions we had with the three S.P.R. researchers, at which, they were asked to bring along a sealed Kodachrome film. This film was locked into a wooden box (with a substantial lock, the key being held by only one of the researchers) and placed on the table, where it remained until after the experiment. The spirit communicator (channelled) said that something relating to the TD.C. experiments would be imprinted onto the film, something, he said, that would help to improve the communications, see(fig.2)
As predicted, and as you can see in the photograph, we had indeed received valuable information on that sealed film. It shows the germanium receptor and its connections to the amplifier, but in addition there are two coils joined into the circuit. This film was approximately 20 inches long and contained text initialled by the communicator. This text explained how these two coils should be connected and their positions in relation to the germanium. Again we enlisted the help of Prof. Ellison, who helped us find the necessary components.
At the next session, it was explained to us that an interaction or 'effect' took place between the germanium crystal and the coils. The relative proximity of the coils and their polarity was an important factor in the mechanism required to receive these communications. A coil or solenoid (a coil wound on an iron core) produces an electromagnetic field around itself and this field has a direction of flow and 'polarity', north and south, at each end (see fig.3).
Just to confuse things, remember that in this instance we are not actually referring to electromagnetic fields, but 'energy' fields or patterns. This of course gives rise to many a frown and can cause a lot of misunderstanding. We know so little of what lies behind this material world, this rapidly expanding world of technology, and what is being suggested here is something beyond our own earthly sciences. This requires a willingness to be open to many 'alternative' concepts. So frequently used terms such as 'energy' and 'energy fields' are being used here to describe one of these 'alternative' concepts, only until such time as mankind has a fuller and deeper understanding of these matters.
These 'energy' fields, associated with our coils, behave, we are told, in much the same way as their electromagnetic counterparts, with regard to direction of flow and polarity. As you can see from the illustration, a void is formed where to the two fields oppose each other i.e. like poles repel (remember your physics at school). This 'void' has; been described to us as 'non spin energy space' and is not unknown in other extra dimensional concepts. It is in this void that the germanium is situated, right in the heart of the opposing fields (see fig. 4), where it can detect and absorb the fluctuations in the energies. These fluctuations cause this 'effect' on the germanium crystal to take place, opening the links with these far off dimensions. I imagine this void as a doorway or opening leading to other areas of existence and the germanium as the key that opens this door.
First communication.
I find it hard to describe our reactions after what happened during that session in Jan.'97, surprise, excitement, even stunned, only go some way towards describing them. We had made the modifications to the germanium devise as per the instructions on the film, corrected some minor difficulties we were having with the amplifier and proceeded with the experiment as usual.
The first signs were present, crackles, clicks and the familiar white noise, so the anticipation was high as usual. Everyone was straining their themselves to hear, almost banging heads as they leaned forward to get nearer to the loud speaker! Then with little warning, a faint voice as heard, calling, "Hello".
You can imagine the excitement as this voice became louder. It was a man's voice and yes, who ever he was, he was definitely trying to make himself heard! "Hello, can you hear me?", he kept repeating. He then continued to say the following; (taken from the transcript of the recorded session).
Discarnate personality communicates through germanium 21/1/97
"Hello my friends. Can you hear me ?
I shall continue this transmission in the hope that you can hear me clearly.
You understand my friends, that we are experiencing some difficulties, but we feel sure that these will be overcome. However, we feel we have made considerable progress upon the last attempt to communicate with you.
We have, for some time, been involved in an experimental communication system, and it is this system that we are using now. It is hoped, that in the future, this system will enable us to communicate with those distant dimensions and if all goes according to plan, you will be part of these experiments.
I shall repeat myself and say I do hope that you can hear this communication.
We will stay here for a little longer, please be alert. "
The communication then paused for a short time, then continued, becoming clearer.
"Some time in the near future, there will be many attempts made to communicate with you in this way. There an many people here, who feel as I do, that this work is of the utmost importance to mankind, and therefore are willing to put their hearts into these experiments. Thank you my dear friends, thank you for co-operating with us and giving us this moment of your time.
May peace be with all of you.

The communication then ended after lasting approximately 20 minutes.
Semi-conductors.
Over the past months, we have had long conversations with communicators on this subject of inter-dimensional links. One very interesting conversation concerned man's use of semi-conductors (germanium is also a semi-conductor) and included an insight into the use of other materials (such as carbide) in the future. The possibilities are almost unlimited, given the right circumstances, we are told. They explained to us, as best they could, why the use of semi-conductors will play an important part in future experiments and how some of these 'links' will be made. At their suggestion, we carried out several experiments without the germanium receptor attached to the amplifier. This apparently still allowed some communications to take place, but only those dimensions or levels, that were nearer to our own, would be able to form the necessary links. We have now conducted many of these experiments without the germanium, some of them have been two-way conversations, and some witnessed by members of the S.P.R. and recorded on tape.
At another session, a communicator (not a scientist) explained in simple terms, how it has been possible (and still is sometimes) for us to receive messages on computers, faxes, telephones and tape recorders. In fact any type of electronic equipment, he said, is open to possible interaction, even television and video recorders! We now have evidence to support this! (see Video experiments; article 1 'A project called Alice ').
He went on to describe to us (in a very simplified manner) the basic principles of the silicon chip, which uses a semi-conductor (silicon in this case but the theory is the same), and talked to us about something referred to as the 'cut-off point. This cut-off point is very interesting, especially in relation to our other experiments.
As this cut-off point is reached, and as I understand it, this can be due to temperature/pressure (remember the germanium is under a certain amount of pressure), the semi-conductor becomes unstable. This instability is then followed by the 'cut-off, or in other words, shuts down. It is, he explained, this instability or fluctuation in direction that provides a 'point of entry'. This reminded us of the fluctuations in the 'energy fields' that cause the 'void' to be formed in the receptor. Perhaps there are 'doorways' involved here, if so, it would be a possible explanation for E.V.P. which many people report experiencing.
Other groups and similar experiments.
One of the communicators told us that it is possible, other groups would be involved in these types of experiments. These groups would receive their instruction/direction from the personalities that work closely with them. It may, he told us, involve the use of different equipment or even a different technology and people should not assume that they will work in the same way as we do. He said that many individuals will take it upon themselves to set up similar experiments, but it is unlikely that they will be able make any significant progress. To have the desire to get results is not enough on its own, you still need the co-operation of those you are trying to 'link' with, (what we want and what we get are two different things).
We (the experimental group) certainly did not make a conscious decision to experiment in this way. It would seem logical that a more positive and rewarding approach would be to work as a group and follow your helpers/guides instructions. They know a lot more than us about inter-dimensional links (if that is their goal).

The hour is at hand for such knowledge to be given unto man. Behold I have chosen you for the giving of such knowledge.
Behold you are sent unto men in this generation that they may gird their loins and be wise, taking thought to their stature in cosmic intelligence lest they dash their feet and stumble grievously.
Under my banner enroll ye, that ye may enjoy the blessings of my larder; further, these blessings come not by chance but work out a pattern determined long ago.
This pattern is twofold: it speaketh unto man on the one hand and saith, Knowledge is given you, transport it unto yourselves decorously, profit by it, use it beneficiently, else it be taken from you again as it hath been taken before;
The second part of the pattern hath it that man shall have revealed unto him a vision of his heritage, that earthly things may show him the nature of his spirit.
SPIRICOM does indeed hold the promise of revealing to Man the " vision of his heritage and the nature of his spirit ." From this perspective you can better understand the basis for the "Objectives of Metascience Foundation" set forth on the preceding page.
